The volunteers of Mayan Families live in the highlands of the Lake Atitlan area in the small town, Panajachel, Guatemala, Central America. Because they have lived and been involved with the indigenous community life in Guatemala for many years, they find themselves able to respond in a personal way to the immediate and actual needs.
Every donation they receive goes to fund their many worthwhile projects within the Indigenous Mayan Communities. Projects range from enrolling and keeping kids (especially girls) in school, helping single parent families deal with Malnutrition, Basic Health Care, HIV/AIDS, Organizing Medical & Dental Clinics, Animal Rescue and much more. Mayan Families provides assistance to those in distress and victims of natural or man-made disaster. They do so irrespective of race, creed or religion.
